Wheeled Tours – Sled Dogs!

$189 per Adult $149 per child under 12 yrs old

You’ll be immersed in the lifestyle of a north woods dog musher once you arrive at our off-grid homestead tucked away in the remote wilderness of Minnesota’s Arrowhead Region. This promises to be an experience of a lifetime!
The Points Unknown sled dogs are friendly and exuberant and always up for adventure and meeting new people. You’ll be getting a taste of how we work with our dogs during the Spring and Fall months and will learn how to harness them then we’ll jump in the wheels and we’re off! For those dog lovers, there will be plenty of cuddle time with the sled dogs before and after your adventure on the trail.
We’re located 7 miles up the Arrowhead Trail on Irish Creek Road in Hovland, which is 19 miles northeast of Grand Marais, MN, USA. Directions can be found here.
The timeline for your entire wheeled tour experience is around 1 ½ hours. This can vary slightly depending upon how much time you would like to spend in the dog yard, playing with the dogs, after the adventure. It’s entirely up to you! We have two time slots available daily; 10AM and 2PM. Temperatures and humidity levels must be conducive to running the dogs with their heavy winter coats. If you arrive and it is over 50 degrees F, we will not go out on the trail for the safety of the dogs. However, you will receive a kennel tour instead which allows extra time with the sled dogs. Safety
Prior to your experience, we’ll chat with you about what you can expect, and ask if you have any special needs we need to be aware of. We do this so your time with us can be most fulfilling.
We will tailor the adventure to your group, so let’s chat! There is a weight limit, affecting the number of people we can take out on the trail at one time.
Children under the age of 5, are encouraged to join us for these wheeled tours. They can ride on a parent’s laps, on our wheeled rig, with a helmet.
